Pirates and ninjas.

Two warring clans that have been in battle for generations.

But there is no battle no epic than between the Silver Moon pirates...

and the Sumi tribe, a clan of ninjas that wield enchanted ink brushes.

As the Silver Moon pirates were gaining the upper hand, the Sumi clan leader is forced to arrange an alliance with their sister tribe, the Kami, paper-wielders.

However that is the partial reason. For you see, his only son, Kenji, is a wild spirit. Constantly chasing tail and had no regard to those in authority. So naturally, he thought that an arranged marriage would set him straight.

Of course, Kenji wasn't too keen on being chained down when he's still young...but that will all change when he met the Kami's prized jewel...Adam.

May the Gods help him for the Kami leader is fiercely protective of his only child.

This is based off of the item I have on Gaia Online, the Sumi tribe brush, and I always wanted to make a fanart of it. And also, the Kami clan is based off of the paper masters of Read Or Die series.
